Reviews:

* Stirring performance; sharp styling; finely crafted cabin. Source: Edmunds
* The purity and elegance of the F-TYPE's design gives it lasting beauty. Look closely, and you will see how established Jaguar design themes have been evolved, most notably the J-Blade headlights and the shape of the four-sided grille. Two bold strokes, called heartlines define the signature look. The first starts with the blade bisecting the shark gill grille openings of the bumper, runs through the headlights, and over the top of the front fenders before fading in the doors. The second begins at rear edge of the door, rising to create the powerful haunch over the rear fenders, and then sweeps around to define the tail. The convertible top is light, fast and refined. Fully powered, it opens or closes in just 12 seconds and can be operated at speeds of up to 30mph. The F-TYPE lineup features three supercharged engines: two versions of the new Jaguar 3.0 liter V6 produce 340 hp or 380 hp and the acclaimed Jaguar 5.0 liter V8 produces 495 hp in the F-TYPE V8 S. The new 8-speed QuickShift ZF automatic transmission features closely spaced ratios and is specifically engineered for the F-TYPE with shifts that are shorter and more immediate. Full manual control of the transmission is just a fingertip away: Manual shifting can be done with paddles mounted to the steering wheel, or by using the new SportShift selector. Inside, he F-TYPE is a pure two-seat sports car. All models come standard with the Sport style seat. On V6-powered models, this deeply bolstered seat features 6-way manual and electric adjustment and leather trim with Suedecloth center sections for high grip during cornering. The V8 S model features full leather seat facings and 14-way fully electric adjustment. The intuitive 8-inch Touch-screen controls important vehicle functions including audio, telephone and navigation. The standard 380W Meridian sound system features 10 speakers with exceptional clarity and dynamics. The optional 770W Meridian Surround Sound system features 14 speakers. • Most fun to drive!

My previous car was a 2012 Mercedes C350 coupe that I purchased in 2013 and owned for 4 years before selling it in May 2017. My wife and I loved that car! But after renting a Porsche 911 Cabriolet in Miami for two full days in late 2016 before boarding a cruise ship to the Caribbean, my dream of actually owning a 911 became an obsession upon my return home. Long story short was that after much research and back to back test drives of a Porsche 911 and a Jaguar F-Type V-8S, I realized that a Jag might be the replacement for my Benz! After a few more test drives between a Jag V-6 S and the V-8 S I knew that if a Jaguar was in my future that it had to be the V-8! And so it was. I purchased a CPO 2014 Jaguar F-Type V-8 S (Firesand Orange) in early June of this year and havent looked back! This car is a hoot to drive and my wife loves it just as much as I do (although she hasnt actually driven it yet)! The Jag is everything I was looking for - looks, performance, and oh that symphony coming from the exhaust! Its intoxicating. It came with most of the options but the one I wish it had is the surround sound upgrade (it has the 330 watt Meridian system which is good but doesnt compare to the Harmon-Kardon surround sound system in my Benz). But did I mention the exhaust?! I guess the lack of a surround sound upgrade is a small sacrifice to make in exchange for the sweet music being played through those quad pipes every time I nail the gas! Some reviews of this car criticize the 7 cubic feet of space in the boot (trunk) but my wife and I have taken this car on 3 substantial road trips in the 6 months we have had it and have managed just fine. We recently spent 4 nights in Niagara-On-The Lake, Canada and in addition to our luggage we were also able to squeeze 12 bottles of wine in the boot for the ride home! Not bad. Its just a shame that winter is now upon us and well have to wait another few months before enjoying top-down weather again. But the car is no garage queen as I put a set of Toyo UHP all season tires on it so that I can drive it all year (barring days when its snowing or the roads are polluted with salt residue). The heated seats and steering wheel are nice luxuries in cooler temps. I really cant say I have any complaints about this Jag (although I bet the neighbors do!). Would I do it all over again? You bet I would. The 911 will just have to wait a few more years. And in case youre wondering, Im 61 years young.

For $100k there is nothing else you can purchase new that will give you the performance and the luxury brand of a Jaguar F-Type R. Sure, the Corvette Z06 has better performance numbers, but it's still a Chevy. The Jaguar is a legitimate supercar. 550 hp / 502 tq AWD and quite luxurious as well. 5 year / 60,000 mile warranty too? Who else can touch that?

Everyone, including Ferrari, owners is impressed. Power-on upshifting is exhilarating, backing off is just plain silly fun. Ever been to the top corner of Laguna Seca, the blind corkscrew? So close to the track sounds! You'd love this car. Previous car '15 Ford GT - I loved it, loads of fun. But the F-Type car 3X. Crisper shifts, exotic paddle downshifts, stiffer suspension-only down side no back seating or trunk passthrough.
